Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This day you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is south-western Uganda – The home of Uganda gorillas. The drive is about 8 – 9 hours by road. You will stop at the equator for photography moments and have your lunch in Mbarara District. After lunch, you will proceed with your drive to Bwindi arriving late in the afternoon. Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
This day you bond with gorillas in the forests of Bwindi. The activity lasts for 2 – 8 hours inclusive of a 1 hour close encounter with these primates. You have to be at the park headquarters by 7:30am for briefing before making your final journey into the jungles to meet the gorillas. When you locate the gorillas, you will get to take photos and watch them play in their natural habitats. Day 3: Kigali City tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
This day you will have a brief Kigali City Tour, have your lunch at the majestic Hotel Rwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze after. Overnight at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge for luxury, Le bambou Gorilla Lodge for moderate and Kinigi Guest House for budget.
Day 4: Climb Mount Karisimbi
On the fourth day of your safari, you climb Mount Karisimbi. You will take a total of six hours to climb this mountain via the Bisoke trail till the altitude of 3700m above sea level. You will camp mid way for an overnight and wait to climax your hike the following day.
Day 5: Climax your hike and descend after
Rise to an early morning breakfast and climax your hike to the summit. At the summit, the views are breathe taking and you will get clear sights of Mount Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira. You will then descend off the mountain, have late lunch in Kinigi and get transferred to Kigali after for drop off at your preferred accommodation facility or departure.
