When you are in Kigali, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is just four hours away by road. These two gorilla safari destinations are just close to each other. In fact, so many tourists nowadays make their entourage through Kigali, trek in Uganda and depart via Kigali. This is because of the short distance compared to the 9 hours regular drive from Entebbe to Bwindi.

Cost of Gorilla Safari Permits
Please also note that gorilla permits cost $600 and $1500 in Uganda and Rwanda respectively. Two gorilla treks in each country will make your safari $2100 expensive already exclusive of accommodation and transport costs which may be budget or luxury depending on your preference and budget. Please note that these permits are sold on first come first serve basis and ought to be booked several months prior to avoid last minute disappointments. They can be purchased either directly or through a local tours and travel operator (most recommended option).
