See gorillas in the wild at the best prices with our gorilla safaris
Uganda Rwanda safaris are so adventurous. They are highly recommended for tourists who want to trek gorillas in these countries. There are so many debates online questioning for a better gorilla trekking destination. Some people say Rwanda is better where as some stick to Uganda so you can never get a straight answer. How about you went on Uganda Rwanda gorilla tours, trekked in either destinations and compared the two experiences? Much as the gorillas are the same, i believe these two destinations have variant experiences.
The trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is much more physically challenging compared to the one of Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. If you want to trek and get so tired, we recommend Uganda. If you are aged up or not is a good physical state then you should consider Rwanda. Alternatively, you can combine both of these and feel the respective experiences.
Some of the joint safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo
What should be coming to your mind right now is how you need multiple air tickets to transfer from Rwanda to Uganda. This is absolutely wrong. When you are in Kigali, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is just four hours away by road. These two gorilla safari destinations are just close to each other. In fact, so many tourists nowadays make their entourage through Kigali, trek in Uganda and depart via Kigali. This is because of the short distance compared to the 9 hours regular drive from Entebbe to Bwindi.
Why book a combined safari
A combined gorilla tour will let you trek gorillas in two separate destinations: Bwindi and PNV. Each trek will feel like a whole new experience to you and will probably be better than the other.
Cost of Gorilla Safari Permits
Please also note that gorilla permits cost $600 and $1500 in Uganda and Rwanda respectively. Two gorilla treks in each country will make your safari $2100 expensive already exclusive of accommodation and transport costs which may be budget or luxury depending on your preference and budget. Please note that these permits are sold on first come first serve basis and ought to be booked several months prior to avoid last minute disappointments. They can be purchased either directly or through a local tours and travel operator (most recommended option).
